Greys Matter Adoption, Inc. Greys Matter is an all volunteer Tennessee not-for-profit organization devoted to adoption of retired racing Greyhounds. Greyhounds may be the second fastest land mammal, but don't let their speed fool you. Retired racing Greyhounds are gentle, quiet and well mannered companions that fit into most any home environment. All Greyhounds adopted through Greys Matter have been acclimated in the home of one of our volunteers through our foster program. This process not only takes the "rough edges" off the new hounds in preparation for the next phase of their lives, but it also gives us an opportunity to get to know the hound and determine in what type of home environment he or she will thrive. For the adopter this means you will receive a hound that best fits your home environment. We are available to answer any of your Greyhound questions and introduce you to the wonderful world of Greyhound adoption. We have a tremendous support and communication network to provide answers to questions and assistance before, during and after adoption, and indeed for the life of your companion hound.
